A completely free psoriasis screening event will be held this Thursday, July 31, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Vista Alegre Clinic, 1st floor, office 64.
A maximum of 50 people will be seen, and the screening will be coordinated by Dr. Denise Mago (dermatologist).
Psoriasis is a skin condition that causes irritation and redness on some parts of the body (elbows, knees, scalp, abdomen, back, and feet, among others). It is not contagious and is believed to arise from a combination of genetic and environmental factors.
The goal of this psoriasis screening event is to help people with this condition receive a free, comprehensive diagnosis, as well as to educate the public about this skin condition.
Between 1% and 2% of the world's population suffers from psoriasis, with the highest incidence between the ages of 15 and 35, affecting both sexes.
If you, a family member, or a friend is experiencing skin symptoms, we invite you to attend this screening.
