CONVELAS 2025 marks a milestone in Photonic Medicine from Venezuela The 1st. Venezuelan Congress of Medical and Surgical Lasers was successfully concluded (CONVELAS 2025), held on September 26 and 27 at the Renaissance Hotel in Caracas, the event, organized by the Ibero-American Academy of Medical Laser (AILMED) and the Venezuelan Society of Medical and Surgical Laser (SOVELAMEDQ), brought together more than 60 national and international speakers and established itself as a leading scientific event in Ibero-America.

“We have reached the end of this great scientific chapter, with joy, with emotion (…) We are creating the history of the new page of Venezuelan medicine (…) Photonic Medicine is the great house that shelters all specialties,” expressed Dr. Oscar Suárez, general director of AILMED and president of SOVELAMEDQ. Following the success of this first edition, the organizers announced that the next CONVELAS event will be held in 2027, reaffirming the continuity of this forum that brings together science, industry, and the medical community around the medicine of the future: laser medicine.
